Bin Laden’s 'Letter to America' resurfaces, goes viral on TikTok, full of antisemitic conspiracy theories

A deeply antisemitic letter penned in 2002 by the infamous late Al Qaeda terror leader Osama bin Laden has gone viral on TikTok amid the ongoing war between Hamas and Israel.

Bin Laden reportedly wrote the letter as a justification for the Sept. 11 terror attack that killed about 3,000 people in series of airline hijackings by 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist group.

The letter offers a disturbing insight into bin Laden’s anti-American and classic anti-Jewish, conspiracy-filled worldview, containing rhetoric, such as “Jews who control your policies, media and economy” and demanding that “Israel must be erased.”

While the letter is addressed to America, the word “Israel” appears 19 times and the word “Jews” is mentioned 10 times.

“The Jews have taken control of your economy, through which they have then taken control of your media, and now control all aspects of your life making you their servants and achieving their aims at your expense,” the Al Qaeda terror leader wrote.

“Your law is the law of the rich and wealthy people, who hold sway in their political parties, and fund their election campaigns with their gifts. Behind them stand the Jews, who control your policies, media, and economy,” bin Laden falsely claimed.

The Biden administration blasted the release of bin Laden’s letter.

“There is never a justification for spreading the repugnant, evil, and antisemitic lies that the leader of al-Qaeda issued just after committing the worst terrorist attack in American history,” White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates told The Times of Israel on Thursday.

At a time of rapidly growing antisemitic incidents worldwide, sparked by Israel's war against the Hamas terror organization in Gaza, TikTok stressed it will prevent the platform’s users from promoting the bin Laden’s racist inflammatory essay.

TikTok eventually decided to remove the hashtag for the bin Laden letter after it went viral.

TikTok spokesperson Ben Rathe emphasized that the letter's content violates the platform’s policies.

“Content promoting this letter clearly violates our rules on supporting any form of terrorism,” Rathe confirmed.

“We are proactively and aggressively removing this content and investigating how it got onto our platform. The number of videos on TikTok is small and reports of it trending on our platform are inaccurate. This is not unique to TikTok and has appeared across multiple platforms and the media,” the TikTok spokesperson added.

Meanwhile, user reactions to the Biden Laden letter were mixed and ranged from “Everyone should read it”, “eye-opening”, “explains so much” to triggering an “existential crisis.”

Fundamentalist Islamist organizations, such as Hamas and Hezbollah. embrace the classic antisemitic conspiracies of alleged Jewish world domination. Unsurprisingly, Islamists praise Nazi leader Adolf Hitler’s deeply antisemitic work “Mein Kampf.”

In a recent BBC interview, Israeli President Isaac Herzog revealed that Israeli soldiers had discovered an Arabic language version of the book Mein Kampf in a Gazan child's bedroom during a raid of the home that was being used as a terror base by Hamas operatives.

“This is Adolf Hitler's book, Mein Kampf, translated into Arabic. This is the book that led to the Holocaust and the book that led to World War II,” Herzog stated.

“This book was found a few days ago in northern Gaza. In a child's room, which became a base used for terrorist activities by the terrorist organization Hamas. The terrorist wrote notes, marked the sections, and studied again and again, the ideology of Adolf Hitler to hate the Jews, to kill the Jews, to burn and slaughter Jews wherever they are. This is the real war we are facing,” the Israeli president added.
