Terror attack this morning at West Bank junction
Security guard injured in the attack
A Palestinian plowed his vehicle into a security guard at a West Bank crossing early this morning, injuring the man, Israeli security forces said, marking the fourth terror attack in the past two weeks.
The Palestinian was shot and killed by the other security guards at the crossing. Palestinian media identified the teen as 16-year-old Muhammad Nidal Younis from Nablus.
The security guard, a 34-year-old Israeli, was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
This is a fourth attack in the last two weeks. The previous three attacks took place in Jerusalem. Former IDF chief of staff Moshe Ya'alon called it a "new wave of individual terrorism."
"We see similarities between what has been happening in the last two months and the 'individuals' intifada.' There are things in the atmosphere and on the web," Ya'alon told 103FM radio. "The 16-year-old who conducted the ramming attack this morning was 'fueled' on the web with incitement and made a decision."
