Breaking: Stabbing attack in Jerusalem - 64-year-old man wounded, attacker flees
A 64-year-old man sustained light-to-moderate injuries on Wednesday after being stabbed three times in the back while waiting at a bus stop in Jerusalem.
Magen David Adom emergency medical services treated the man on the scene before evacuating him to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital for penetrating injuries. The man is said to be in light-to-moderate condition.
Police and security forces began looking for the attacker, who fled the scene. The incident is being treated as a probable terror attack.
At time of publication, the police announced that the suspect had been apprehended. The attacker was declared to be a 14-year-old resident of East Jerusalem. The knife used in the attack was found at the scene.
