IDF special unit operating in Tulkarm eliminates al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade commander
An IDF special operations unit eliminated a terror squad during a counter-terrorism operation in Tulkarm on Monday afternoon
Among those killed was the commander of the “Rapid Response Battalion,” Jihad Maharaj Shahadah.
The “Rapid Response Battalion” is a new group within the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigade.
Shahadah’s father is a senior officer with a rank equivalent to a general in the security forces of the Palestinian Authority.
Palestinian channels report that Ezz Eddin Awad, the commander of Hamas' military wing in Tulkarm, was also killed in the operation.
In addition, the head of Hamas' terror group in Tulkarm and the head of Fatah's military-terrorist wing – the al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades – were both eliminated in the raid.
