Reported Israeli airstrike hits Damascus for first time since killing of IRGC official Zahedi
Syrian media reported Friday night that an Israeli airstrike hit a building operated by Syrian security forces on the outskirts of Damascus.
Syria's Defense Ministry also confirmed the strike, blaming Israel.
According to the report, eight Syrian soldiers were wounded in the attack, which caused damage to infrastructure.
A security source from a group that supports Syria's Assad regime told Reuters the strike targeted a building used by Syrian security forces.
This is the first time since Mohammad Reza Zahedi's assassination on April 1, that an attack attributed to Israel has taken place on Syrian soil.
