Christians play an active role in defending the nation of Israel, says ALL ISRAEL NEWS Editor in Chief Joel Rosenberg
Rosenberg tells American Family Radio host Jenna Ellis that God thwarts the plans of the enemy when we pray
Israel is on the precipice of one of the most significant military confrontations in recent history, as tensions continue to escalate with the Iranian regime and its terror proxies throughout the Middle East, in particular Hezbollah forces in Lebanon.
Joel Rosenberg, editor-in-chief of ALL ISRAEL NEWS was interviewed by the American Family Radio program, "Jenna Ellis in the Morning" this week after returning from a two-month visit to the United States.
Rosenberg provided unique insights into where things currently stand regarding the threat of revenge attacks against Israel by the Iranian regime and Hezbollah for the deaths of its top leaders last month, highlighting the gravity of the situation.
"Israelis are stocking their bomb shelters afresh... Many are canceling summer vacation plans. Others are returning like we did back to the country to be with our people as we face these threats," Rosenberg told Ellis.
He noted that Israel has achieved significant victories in the last few months, including the eliminations of top Hamas and Hezbollah leaders, such as Hamas military chief Mohammed Deif, Hezbollah second-in-command Fuad Shukr in Beirut, as well as the assassination of top Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, noting that Israel has neither confirmed nor denied its involvement in Haniyeh's death.
For the last few weeks, the Iranian Supreme Leader’s recent declaration that the regime would face "divine wrath" if it did not retaliate for the targeted killings has kept the Israeli population on high alert for a retaliatory attack at any time.
Rosenberg credited divine intervention and the prayers of millions of Christians worldwide for Israel's protection and safety thus far.
"I think God has thwarted Iran and Hezbollah from launching this attack so far, and I think it’s the result of the prayers of millions of Christians around the world. But we can’t stop," Rosenberg said.
He offered his perspective on how different segments of the Israeli population have reacted to the current threats. He said that Christians, in particular, continue to trust the Lord and draw strength from their faith in God.
"The believers who know Jesus personally... have a great sense of hope and a great sense of confidence that the God of Israel…isn’t neutral and he isn’t asleep, and he hasn’t abandoned us…" Rosenberg said.
The feelings among non-believers in Israel are more complex. While many Israelis, regardless of their faith, feel a deep connection to the land and believe in the purpose of the State of Israel, the ongoing threats on multiple fronts against Israel have worn down even the most resilient spirits, he said.
Rosenberg noted that Israel is confronting not only the threat of military attacks but also faces attacks from the media, members of the United Nations, and various segments of the U.S. political landscape.
One of the most pressing concerns for Rosenberg is the growing trend of antisemitism around the world.
"Israelis feel very embattled and very alone," he remarked, but he stressed that supporting Israel does not mean neglecting compassion and understanding for the plight of the Palestinian people.
"Being pro-Israel doesn’t mean being anti-Palestinian. That’s very important for people to understand," Rosenberg said, pointing out that his work involves keeping in direct communication with Palestinian Muslims and Christians.
He urged Christians to continue praying, reminding them Christians play an active role in defending the nation of Israel through prayer. He encouraged them to stay informed by visiting ALL ISRAEL NEWS.
