Could a ‘Nuclear 9/11’ be next? 8.6 million illegals have entered US since Biden took office, including 149 on ‘terror watch list’

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL – As Americans this week remember the horrific terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, and honor the 3,000 people who perished at the hands of al Qaeda terrorists, several critical questions must be asked.

First, 22 years after Osama bin Laden hit the U.S. so hard, has Washington done everything in its power to protect the American people from another wave of foreign terror attacks?

Second, has Washington done everything in its power to prevent a “Nuclear 9/11,” that is, the detonation of nuclear weapons – smuggled into the homeland from abroad – on American soil?

And third, if not, why not?

As I interview current and former members of Congress, administration officials, intelligence experts and law enforcement experts, the answer to all three questions appears to be no.

To the contrary, like many Americans, I fear that President Joe Biden is opening the door to disaster.

After tens of billions of dollars have been spent by the Bush, Obama and Trump administrations shutting the front door to terrorists – namely, hardening America’s airline and maritime security – the Biden administration has opened up the back door: The U.S.-Mexico border.

Since Biden took office in January 2021, nearly 9 million people have illegally entered the United States via Mexico.

“By every metric, illegal immigration increased last month – at the Southwest border, the Northern border, unaccompanied children, family units and single adults,” said Dan Stein, president of the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), in response to the data released in July by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Department.

“In the 30 months that President Biden has been in office, there have been 6.9 million CBP encounters and 1.7 million known gotaways,” Stein noted. “Outside of the people who work at the White House, there is no one who would consider 8.6 million people entering our country illegally to be a successful, sustainable, or rational policy.”

I certainly don’t.

This is an invasion, pure and simple.

What’s more, it’s an unconscionable abdication by President Biden of his Constitutional duty to protect the American people from “invasion,” according to Article IV, Section 4.

After all, it’s not just poor, hungry, desperate people coming to the U.S. – but breaking American laws – in hopes of finding a better life.

In just the first eight months of 2023 alone, U.S. federal agents have arrested at least 149 people on the terror watch list illegally entering the United States, according to the last CBP statistics released in August.

How many terrorists did the Customs and Border Patrol miss?

Where are those terrorists now?

What are they plotting – and when will they strike?

The threat of terrorists, drug runners and human traffickers exploiting the border crisis to enter the United States and smuggle in nuclear weapons – hoping to carry out attacks exponentially worse than 9/11 – is the very fictional scenario that I lay out in my latest political thriller, The Libyan Diversion, which released in May in hardcover, e-book, and audio formats.

Unfortunately, my fictional scenario is based on very real fears the American people have.

ALL ISRAEL NEWS commissioned one of the most respected polling firms in the U.S. – McLaughlin & Associates, founded by John McLaughlin, who’s done polling for many U.S. and Israeli political leaders, including President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – to go into the field to ask several questions about the worsening border crisis.

One question we asked was this: With millions of people illegally entering the U.S. since President Biden took office, are you worried that Middle Eastern terrorists will attempt to enter the U.S. through Mexico to launch more 9/11-terror attacks, or even to attempt a ‘nuclear 9/11’ with nuclear ‘dirty bombs’?

The results were sobering.

Fully 66% of Americans say they are “worried” or “very worried” by such a scenario.

This includes 46% of Americans who fear terrorists will come into the U.S. through Mexico to pull off 9/11-style attacks.

It also includes another 20% of Americans who fear that terrorists coming through Mexico will really want to attempt a “nuclear 9/11” with nuclear “dirty” bombs.

The survey also found that Evangelical Christians are even more concerned than their fellow Americans.

It turns out that 79.1% of Evangelicals fear that Middle Eastern terrorists coming through Mexico want to pull off major attacks inside the homeland.
