Day 31: Israel struck over 450 Hamas targets in 24 hours, eliminated Hamas commanders
In cooperation with Israel, Jordan airdropped humanitarian aid into Gaza Strip
On Day 31 in the war against Hamas, the army announced that IDF ground troops took control of a Hamas military compound in the Gaza Strip overnight.
The compound contained observation posts, training areas for Hamas operatives and underground terror tunnels. Several Hamas terrorists were killed during the operation.
Israeli Air Force (IAF) jets struck over 450 Hamas targets, including tunnels, terrorists, military compounds, observation posts, anti-tank missile launch posts and more, over the past 24 hours, according to Israel Defense Forces.
As the IDF continues to search for and target Hamas leaders and commanders, IAF fighter jets, acting on intel from IDF intelligence and Israel's Shin Bet security, struck and killed additional Hamas terrorists, including Jamal Mussa, who was responsible for special security operations within the Hamas terrorist organization.
Mussa had a long history of terror activity with Hamas, going back to 1993, when he carried out a shooting attack on IDF soldiers who were patrolling the Gaza Strip.
The IAF also announced that it had used bunker-buster bombs to attack tunnels in Gaza City.
Jordanian King Abdullah II, announced that the Jordanian Air Force carried out a humanitarian aid airdrop over the Gaza Strip, bringing medical aid to the Jordanian Hospital located in Gaza.
"This is our duty to aid our brothers and sisters injured in the war on Gaza. We will always be there for our Palestinian brethren,” Abdullah tweeted on X.
Jordan’s state news agency reported that the airdrop was made after medical supplies coming through the Rafah Border crossing from Egypt were delayed.
A senior Israeli official told Walla! News that the aid drop had been approved by Israel.
IDF International Spokesman Jonathan Conricus stated that the IDF had temporarily suspended firing in certain areas of Gaza City on Sunday, in order to allow residents to evacuate several miles south, where they would be out of harm's way.
“Yesterday and today, during several hours, and after a previous notification, we ceased firing in several different areas in the north of Gaza. This is the primary area of fighting, and we called on the Palestinians to flee southward,” Conricus said in a briefing early Monday morning.
The IDF’s Arabic spokesman addressed the residents of the Gaza Strip, once again, calling on them to evacuate south on the Salah al-Din Road by 2 p.m. on Monday.
“The IDF will again allow movement along the route between 10:00 and 14:00. For your safety, take the opportunity to move south beyond Wadi Gaza,” the spokesman said.

من أجل… pic.twitter.com/H7BpiUqyTf
Phone calls with the pre-recorded message in Arabic were also made to multiple cell phones detected to be in the Gaza City area.
The IDF released a graphic demonstrating some of the efforts they have taken to warn Gaza’s to flee the war zone, even before the ground campaign began.
On Monday morning, Thailand's Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin said his government had received “photographic evidence” that all 23 Thai hostages are alive and in good health. He also said that the Thai captives "are in good condition and will be released soon.”
