Does the growing Russia-Iran alliance mean trouble for Israel, US?
ALL ISRAEL NEWS Editor-in-Chief Joel C. Rosenberg discusses this worrying trend on Watchman Newscast
The burgeoning alliance between Russia and Iran is a concern for Israel and America. And as these two countries draw closer, many are wondering whether we looking at an end-times scenario with prophetic implications.
Erick Stakelbeck, host of the Watchman Newscast, takes a deeper look into the joint naval drill conducted by Iran and Russia last week in the Indian Ocean. He interviewed ALL ISRAEL NEWS Editor-in-Chief Joel C. Rosenberg on his broadcast about how this scenario fits into biblical prophecy.
“Joe Biden finally called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu this week. And it's a good thing because the adversaries of America and Israel are on the move,” Stakelbeck says opening up his Feb. 18 program.
Rosenberg discusses the unfolding of recent events.
“We have never seen a Russian-Iranian alliance, military, political, economic, diplomatic in the history of the two countries. But we do have a prophecy. The Book of Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 indicate that the country that we now know as Russia and the country that we now know as Iran, which used to be known as Persia, will form an alliance in what the Bible calls the last days of history after Israel has been reborn as a country, after many, many Jews have come back to resettle the land and rebuild the ancient ruins.”
Rosenberg explains that, according to scripture, after Israelis feel secure and prosperous in their own land, “a dictator out of Russia will form an alliance with Iran and several other countries to come and attack and try to consume and devour the State of Israel.”
“Now, I just want to be clear, Erick. I don’t think you could say that we’re there yet, but the trend lines are worrying,” Rosenberg said.
The New York Times bestselling author has written about such scenarios in various fiction and nonfiction books. Now he is watching the "steady trajectory of this alliance forming.”
And he warns: “I’m getting really worried about the Russian, Iranian, Turkish, North Korean, Chinese alliance that is building. That's that's something we've got to watch very closely, folks.”
Stakelbeck further emphasized that Turkey has grown closer to Iran and Russia in recent years.
“Turkey, Russia and Iran have all historically been at loggerheads with each other. But now at this particular time in history, they are coming together,” Stakelbeck said. “Could they lead that last-days invasion force that the Book of Ezekiel talks about?”
