EXCLUSIVE: As the #AsburyRevival enters Day 14, an Israeli pastor from Jerusalem who was there tells ALL ISRAEL NEWS what he sees God doing

Pastor Wayne Hilsden says he was deeply moved at the sight of young people humbling themselves in worship and confession before the living God

JERUSALEM, ISRAEL – Wayne Hilsden has lived and ministered in Israel with his wife for forty years.

Originally from Canada, Hilsden is the founding pastor of King of Kings Community, the largest Evangelical and Messianic congregation in Jerusalem, and one of the largest in Israel.

He’s also a graduate of Asbury Seminary, where he earned a Doctorate of Ministry.

The seminary is located in Wilmore, Kentucky, just across the street from Asbury University, the site of the extraordinary spiritual revival that is gaining global headlines.

Hilsden was in the U.S. last week to attend the memorial service in California for the late Pastor Jack Hayford, one of the most influential – and pro-Israel – leaders in the Evangelical and Pentecostal worlds.

Hearing all the buzz about what was happening at Asbury, Hilsden decided to go see it for himself.

On Sunday, he had the opportunity to spend about 11 hours on the two campuses, including about eight in the Hughes chapel, the epicenter of this dramatic outpouring of the Holy Spirit that has inspired 14 days of non-stop, 24/7, worship, prayer, confession and repentance.

And he was blown away.

After he tweeted a brief video about what he was seeing and hearing God do, I texted him to see if he had time to talk to ALL ISRAEL NEWS.

Graciously, he agreed to an interview on Monday from the airport as he prepared to board a flight to return to Israel.

Please watch our conversation on our YouTube channel, which runs about 20 minutes or so.

It was fascinating – and so encouraging – to hear Hilsden, a friend of mine for nearly 20 years, as he shared his eyewitness report with me of what he saw and heard and experienced.

Describing himself as not particularly emotional, he said he broke down in tears as he participated in the extended time of Spirit-filled worship and adoration of Jesus Christ, and people humbling themselves before God and seeking His face.

He said he was particularly touched that it’s mostly young people under the age of 25 who are at the core of the revival.

I asked him to share his perspective on the broader implications of the revival and what he thinks it means for the rest of the U.S., Canada, Israel and the world.

His comments touched me – and I hope they touch you, as well.

Please be praying that God would continue this historic outpouring of His Spirit, and that the revival will spread.

And please share this article and video with others on social media that they, too, may better understand what God is doing and why.
