Hadash party chairman to be indicted for attacking police officer last year
Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara will indict far-left Knesset Member Ofer Cassif for allegedly attacking a police officer in May 2022, Kan Reshet Bet radio station reported on Tuesday.
The attorney general will reportedly adopt the position of the police and the state prosecutor's office, who claim Cassif, chair of the Hadash party, attacked a police officer after being told he could not drive his car into the area where a demonstration was being held.
Cassif was on his way to protest against a court ruling to evacuate illegal Arab villages in the South Hebron Hills at the time.
