ISIS incites followers to perpetrate terror attacks against Israel and the West

The spokesperson for the extremist terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIS) incited followers to carry out terror attacks against Jews and Christians in Israel and throughout the Western world.

"By Allah, this matter will be made possible," stated ISIS spokesperson Abu Hudhayfah, in a recent 41-minute-long audio speech to mark the 10th anniversary since the terrorist group unilaterally announced its caliphate over large territory across Syria and Iraq in 2014.

By early 2017, the radical Islamist organization had lost most of its previously held territory in the Middle East. However, ISIS is still active in parts of Africa and continues to hold cells across the Middle East, Europe and the United States.

ISIS-K, an offshoot of the Islamic State, recently claimed responsibility for a terror attack against concert attendees in a hall outside of the Russian capital Moscow. The terror attack claimed the lives of over 100 civilians. However, for political reasons, Russian authorities have instead accused the West and Ukraine of the Jihadist terror attack.

Following the recent ISIS-K attack in Russia, some pundits fear that the terrorist group’s various subgroups will once again shift its focus towards Europe and the United States.

Gen. Erik Kurilla, the commander of the U.S. Central Command, recently assessed that ISIS “retains the capability and the will to attack US and Western interests abroad in as little as six months with little to no warning.”

In Europe, there is growing concern that ISIS will attempt to strike the upcoming Summer Olympics, which will be held in Paris during the months of July and August.

This week, Edmund Fitton-Brown, a former UN official who deals with sanctions and threat assessment, warned that ISIS supporters from Central Asia could strike in Europe.

“I hope I’m wrong,” Fitton-Brown told CNN, “but I’m very worried about the Paris Olympics.” 

While most Arab Israelis reject ISIS, a small radical minority supports the extremist organization. In March 2022, an Israeli Muslim supporter of the terror group murdered four Israelis in an attack in the southern Israeli city of Beersheva.

Following the Beersheva attack, Israeli Islam expert Mordechai Kedar claimed that ISIS is far from destroyed.

“ISIS is still alive and kicking – and still killing – as we saw last week,” Kedar, a senior research associate at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, warned at the time, adding that the ISIS threat persists despite its loss of territory in the Middle East, a statement which appears to be just as relevant today.

Driven by a radical Jihadist ideology, ISIS has spread death and destruction across the Middle East and several Western nations.

In November 2015, ISIS operatives carried out one of the terrorist organization’s most brutal terror attacks when it murdered over 130 people in the French capital Paris. The radical terrorist organization has also carried out lethal attacks in the U.S., Great Britain, Belgium, Australia, Germany and Sweden.
