A new exhibition highlighting cyber security is currently on display at Tel Aviv University as part of Cyber Week.

Held annually for the last 13 years, Cyber Week has become an internationally acclaimed event, according to AITI, an NGO that provides networking opportunities for Israel’s tech industry players. The event brings together cybersecurity experts, industry leaders, startups, investors, academics, diplomats, military and government officials.

While Israel continues fighting for security on several fronts, the Blavatnik Interdisciplinary Cyber Research Center (ICRC) at Tel Aviv University is scheduled to host the exhibition: "Protecting the World: Israeli CyberSecurity Technologies."

The new ICRC exhibition, curated by Doron Polak, presents different locks throughout history, some of which are thousands of years old, displaying them alongside the new Israeli technologies providing security.

The director of the Israel National Cyber Directorate, Gaby Portnoy, shared the significance of the unusual display, with the goal of educating the public and highlighting Israel’s leading role in cyber security worldwide.

"The connection between historical locks from hundreds and thousands of years ago, collected from around the world, and cutting-edge innovative technology, vividly illustrates the link between the past and the future.”
