Israeli forces apprehend terror suspects responsible for killing Elan Ganeles
Israeli security forces on Wednesday arrested suspected terrorists responsible for the deadly terror attack near Jericho in the West Bank earlier this week.
A 27-year-old American-Israeli, Elan Ganeles, was killed by Palestinian gunmen, who shot him while he was driving his car.
Israel Defense Forces reported that IDF soldiers entered the Aqabat Jabr Palestinian refugee camp, next to Jericho, and arrested two of the suspects. The third terrorist was shot during the arrest as he tried to escape, according to the IDF.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant praised the security forces for the successful operation.
"I commend the IDF, ISA and Border Police forces for apprehending the two terrorists who murdered Elan Ganeles of blessed memory, during the attack conducted on route 90. Every terrorist should be aware of Israel's defense establishment - we will get our hands on them," Gallant said.
