Israeli products confiscated in Lebanese supermarkets
A number of Israeli-made products were confiscated by Lebanese authorities after they were discovered in supermarkets and warehouses across the country, Lebanese media reported.
According to Lebanese State Security, “goods produced by companies belonging to the Israeli enemy,” were confiscated and the “relevant parties had been summoned for questioning.”
Towels with the Golf & Co label and sealing strips from PROMAX were among the reported confiscated items.
It is unclear how the products reached the Lebanese market, as Israel and Lebanon don’t have direct relations.
The CEO of Golf & Co told Ynet News said it's possible that a surplus of items sold to merchants in the West Bank somehow ended up being sold to other countries in the region.
