6 Golani fighters killed in southern Lebanon | Central Israel under fire | New hostage video released by Islamic Jihad

20:24 - IDF announces names of 6 Golani fighters killed in Lebanon

The IDF Spokesman's office announced the names of six soldiers from the Golani Brigade who were killed during combat in southern Lebanon.

- Captain Itay Marcovich, aged 22, from Kokhav Ya'ir, a Platoon Commander.
- Staff Sergeant Sraya Elbom, aged 21, from Mehola, Squad Commander.
- Staff Sergeant Dror Hen, aged 20, from Gan Haim, Squad Sergeant.
- Staff Sergeant Nir Gofer, aged 20, from Dimona, soldier.  
- Sergeant Shalev Itzhak Sagron, aged 21, from Sderot, soldier.

One other soldier was wounded in the same attack.

20:23 - UN nuclear watchdog chief travels to Iran for talks

Rafael Grossi, chief of the UN nuclear watchdog IAEA, arrived for talks in Iran.

Iranian state media showed Grossi meeting the with Iran's state atomic energy agency spokesman, Behrouz Kamalvandi.

18:04 - Central Israel under rocket fire, woman injured in traffic accident caused by alarm sirens

Five rockets fired by Hezbollah from Lebanon triggered alarm sirens in wide areas of Israel earlier, from towns in the Carmel Mountains just south of Haifa all the way to the area of Caesarea.

Some of the rockets were intercepted by the Air Force, while several crashes were detected.

In the area of Kfar Saba, Magen David Adom medics treated a woman of about 60 years who was in moderate condition with a head injury after being hit by a motorcycle during on the alarm sirens.

14:48 - Sirens sound from Nahariya to Haifa Bay

The IDF identified two drones from Lebanon which set off sirens in the Western Galilee from the Lebanese border until the Haifa Bay area. Both drones were shot down. No injuries were reported.

13:10 - Jerusalem court rejects Netanyahu's request to delay testimony

The Jerusalem District Court rejected Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's request to postpone his testimony at his trial by two and a half months. In his request, Netanyahu had claimed that he could not testify because of his increased responsibilities due to the war.

"We are not persuaded that there has been a substantial change in circumstances that could justify changing the date set in the decision," the justices reasoned. "In our decision in July, we will give the defense a period of five months to prepare. In our current decision, we have taken into account both the time given in the said decision." Netanyahu's testimony is scheduled to begin on December 2.

13:09 - Sirens sounded in the Western Galilee area, northern Israel

12:58 - Hezbollah shoots 20 rockets at central Galilee

The IDF stated that following alerts activated in the central Galilee, including Shetula, Ma'alot-Tarshiha, and Kfar Vradim, around 20 rockets were launched from Lebanon.

Most of them were intercepted but some of them impacted in Israel, the IDF said. There were no reports of casualties or serious damage.

12:32 - IDF says it shot down four hostile drones this morning

The IDF stated that the Air Force so far shot down four hostile drones making their way to Israeli territory, and released footage from the interceptions.

12:15 - Sirens sounded in the Western Galilee area, northern Israel

11:53 - New hostage video showing Sasha Trupanov released by Palestinian Islamic Jihad

The PIJ terror group released a video showing Israeli hostage Sasha Trupanov. This is the third video of Trupanov, and it shows him without visible injuries.

In the short clip, Trupanov says he is 28 years old, despite turning 29 two days ago. He also talks about being treated well by his captors but says he lacks food, water, and basic hygiene items while criticizing the Israeli government.

Most Israeli media don't show the hostage videos, arguing they constitute psychological warfare by the terrorists who brutally captured Israeli civilians on Oct. 7.

10:36 - Combined rocket and drone alerts in Rosh Hanikra, Shlomi and nearby towns

Alarm sirens warning of both incoming rocket fire and drone infiltration were activated in Rosh Hanikra, Shlomi, Betzet, Liman, and other communities in western Galilee, close to the Lebanese border.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.

10:30 - IDF shoots down hostile drone over Lebanese territory

The Israeli Air Force intercepted a hostile drone making its way from Lebanon toward Israel.

The IDF said that the drone was shot down before crossing into Israel and therefore no alarm sirens were activated as per policy.

08:55 - Hostage families ask judge not to postpone Netanyahu's testimony

Several family members of hostages submitted a request to the Jerusalem District Court to join the State Prosecutor's Office opposing a delay of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's testimony in his trial.

"The applicant's requests to postpone the date of his testimony due to the weight of his position indicate that it was not and should not have been appropriate from the outset to accept the argument regarding his ability to function as prime minister alongside his performance as a defendant in the criminal proceedings," the lawyer representing the families said.

"The mere filing of the motion to dismiss inherently negates this argument."

08:15 - IDF strikes Hezbollah launchers used to attack Israel

The IDF Spokesman's offices announced this morning that following multiple Hezbollah launches toward central and northern Israel yesterday, the IDF struck dozens of launchers in Lebanon, including the launcher used to fire at cities in central Israel and Nahariya yesterday.

IDF troops are also continuing to conduct limited, localized, targeted operations in southern Lebanon against additional Hezbollah terror targets.

08:05 - Drone from Lebanon intercepted by IAF

Following the sirens that sounded between 7:01 and 7:05 in the Upper Galilee area, a drone that crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force.

05:39 - Drone from Lebanon intercepted by IAF

Following the sirens that sounded between 5:14 and 5:15 in the Western Galilee area, a drone that crossed into Israeli territory was intercepted by the IAF.

05:17 - Sirens sound in northern Israel

Sirens warning of the possible infiltration of hostile aircraft sounded in Rosh Hanikra, Shlomi, and other communities in the Western Galilee.

04:31 - US families of Gaza hostages ask Biden & Trump to reach hostage deal before Inauguration Day

The Times of Israel reported that families of U.S.-Israeli hostages have asked the Biden administration to work with the incoming administration of Donald Trump to secure a hostage release deal before Trump takes office on January 20.

Jonathan Dekel-Chen, father of hostage Sagui Dekel-Chen, told The Times of Israel, "Our requests...of both administrations right now is they work together, not to prepare the Trump administration for taking office in late January, but rather to get this done now in this unique moment.”

Four of the American hostages taken on October 7, 2023, are believed to be still alive.

03:37 - US military strikes Iranian militias in Syria

The U.S. military said it conducted strikes against an Iranian-backed militia in Syria following an attack on U.S. troops.

"These strikes were in response to a rocket attack on U.S. personnel at Patrol Base Shaddadi. There was no damage to U.S. facilities and no injuries to U.S. or partner forces during the attack," the U.S. military said in a statement.

03:28 - Lebanese media say IDF struck Dahiyeh nine times overnight

According to Lebanese network Al-Mayadeen, which is affiliated with Hezbollah, the IDF has conducted nine airstrikes overnight in Beirut's Dahiyeh district.

02:10 - Drone from Lebanon intercepted by IAF

Following the siren that sounded at 1:32 in Ramat Magshimim, a suspicious aerial target that was launched from the east was intercepted by the IAF.

The target was intercepted prior to crossing into Israeli territory. Sirens were sounded in accordance with protocol.

Sirens warning of a possible hostile aircraft infiltration were activated in Moshav Ramat Magshimim in the southern Golan.


00:23 - US won't restrict weapons to Israel following 'a number of steps' to address concerns

In a press briefing Tuesday afternoon, U.S. State Department spokesman Vedant Patel said that "Israel has taken a number of steps to address the measures laid out in the letter that Secretaries Blinken and Austin sent earlier in October."

As a result, the U.S. has decided not to place any additional restrictions on weapons shipments to Israel. Patel also said the Biden administration will continue to engage in "constant evaluations ongoing and constant assessments" regarding the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
