17:11 - IDF: Hezbollah fired 50 rockets at Galilee earlier, hostile drone was intercepted

The IDF updated that during the wave of sirens activated in the Galilee around 16:16, Hezbollah fired 20 rockets at the Western Galilee region and another 30 rockets toward the Haifa Bay.

In addition, the IDF shot down a hostile drone in the area of Yuval and Maayan Baruch a short time ago.

As of 5 p.m., approximately 120 rockets had been fired from Lebanon territory into Israel by Hezbollah forces, according to the IDF.

17:07 - French Foreign Minister discusses security guarantees for Israel in expected Hezbollah truce deal

There were "substantive discussions on the security guarantees that Israel is expected to receive as part of a diplomatic solution agreement in Lebanon" during the meetings of French Foreign Minister Barrot with incoming Defense Minister Israel Katz and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer.

This is according to a French diplomatic source cited by Israel's Kan News.

16:16 - Haifa Bay and northern Galilee towns under Hezbollah rocket fire again

Rocket alarm sirens sounded in towns in the Haifa Bay area, including the Krayot and Acre, as well as in Yarka, Kfar Vradim, Zar'it, and Shomra.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage.

In an earlier large-scale rocket volley targeting the Western Galilee, an 85-year-old man was lightly wounded by shrapnel, according to the Magen David Adom rescue services.

As of 4 p.m., some 70 rockets had been fired from Lebanon territory into Israel by Hezbollah, according to the IDF.

15:03 - Rocket alarms in Haifa and near Hadera, no reports of casualties

Rocket alarm sirens were activated in the northern city of Haifa and several surrounding suburbs and towns. In addition, sirens sounded in Talmei Elazar, dozens of kilometers to the south, near Hadera.

There were no reports of casualties or significant damage.

14:16 - No casualties after Hezbollah fires 40 rockets at Haifa Bay towns, including Acre

The IDF stated that Hezbollah fired around 40 rockets at the Haifa Bay area. Some rockets were intercepted but several impacts were detected as well, the IDF said.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage.

Rocket alert sirens were activated along the coast, from the border to the towns along Haifa Bay, including some of the Krayot suburbs, Acre, Nahariya and Hanita.

13:57 - Hostage families petition High Court against of DM Gallant's dismissal

Despite a legal opinion issued by the government's attorney general, several hostage families petitioned Israel's High Court to stop Prime Minister Netanyahu's dismissal of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.

Attorney General Bali Baharav-Miara sent a letter to the High Court stating that the decision was legal and that several pending petitions should be rejected outright.

Despite her letter, a group of hostage families, including Einav Zangauker, Hadas and Yifat Kalderon, Merav Sabirsky, Ila Metzger, and Carmit Pelati Katzir, announced they would file another petition to the court to stop Gallant's dismissal.

12:23 - French FM Barrot visits Israel in bid to "continue an exacting dialogue on Lebanon and Gaza"

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot began his second visit to Israel since entering his post in September. Before a meeting with Foreign Minister Israel Katz, Barrot wrote on 𝕏 that he came to "continue an exacting dialogue on Lebanon and Gaza."

"Diplomatic solutions are possible to free the hostages, protect civilians and ensure the safety of all. It is time to end the tragedy that began on October 7," he added.

Barrot met with hostage families, including some with French citizenship, before diplomatic meetings with Katz and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer.

"Three hundred and ninety-eight days of nightmare. To the relatives of Ofer and Ohad, upon my arrival in Tel Aviv, I expressed once again the emotion and solidarity of the Nation. France will continue to do everything in its power to free its people and all the hostages still held in Gaza," Barrot said.

11:32 - IDF strikes more Hezbollah targets in Beirut

The IDF stated that Israeli Air Force fighter jets struck the headquarters and military infrastructure of Hezbollah in the Lebanese capital Beirut overnight.

"Hezbollah places its assets in the heart of the civilian population as a method of warfare and this is another example of Hezbollah's exploitation of the civilian space in Lebanon," the IDF noted.

"Before the attack, many steps were taken to reduce the chance of harming civilians, including advance warnings to the population in the area."


07:50 - IDF airstrike against terrorists in Tulkarem

The IDF Spokesperson reported that IAF aircraft struck a squad of armed terrorists in Tulkarm in western Samaria this morning. They targeted several terrorists who fired on Israeli forces operating in the city and threw IEDs at them. So far, the IDF has engaged in limited airstrikes against terrorists in the territories of Judea and Samaria.

07:15 - IDF eliminates 50 terrorists in Jabaliya, expands operation to Beit Lahia

IDF troops continue to operate in the area of Jabaliya and eliminated approximately 50 terrorists over the past 24 hours.

Troops have expanded their operations to the area of Beit Lahia following prior intelligence information and a situational assessment indicating the presence of terrorists and terrorist infrastructure there.

As part of the activity in the area, the IDF is facilitating the safe evacuation of Palestinians from combat zones through organized routes for their safety, the IDF spokesman's office said.

07:05 - IAF struck Hezbollah terror targets in Lebanon, killing 60 terrorists

Over the past day, the IAF struck over 110 terror targets belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in Lebanon and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the IDF spokesman announced.

Among the targets struck were approximately 20 terror targets in the area of Baalbek and north of the Litani River, in which approximately 60 Hezbollah terrorists were eliminated.

Additionally, dozens of terror targets were struck, including a launcher from which projectiles were fired toward central Israel, weapons storage facilities, and additional terrorist infrastructure.

06:00 - IDF announces name of soldier who died in Lebanon

The IDF spokesman announced this morning, that Sergeant Ariel Sasonov (20) from Jerusalem, a soldier in the 605th Engineering Battalion, 188th 'Barak' Brigade, fell during combat in the north. Sasonov was killed during a barrage of around 50 rockets from Hezbollah on the border community of Avivim.

03:45 - Attempted vehicular attack in East Jerusalem

Border Police soldiers killed a terrorist who attempted to carry out a vehicular attack in Anata, east Jerusalem. The vehicle reportedly accelerated towards the Border Police soldiers and ignored repeated warnings to stop. After this, the soldiers fired on the vehicle, neutralizing him. There are no reported casualties among the troops.

01:41 - Lebanese media report several strikes across Beirut

Lebanese media, including Hezbollah-affiliated outlets, reported Israeli strikes in several areas across Beirut: the Dahiya neighborhood, along with at least three strikes near Beirut's international airport.
