The Israeli man shot and killed by a terrorist near Yavne earlier in day, was a police officer named Adir Kadosh, Israeli media reported.

He was supposed to get married next month, the reports added.

The terrorist was killed by an armed volunteer of a rescue service who approached the scene to help.

14:55 - Pentagon: US missile defense unit THAAD arriving in Israel, will be operational soon

The U.S. Pentagon on Tuesday said that the first components of the THAAD advanced anti-missile system began arriving in Israel on Monday and that the system would be fully operational in the near future.

"Over the coming days, additional U.S. military personnel and THAAD battery components will continue to arrive in Israel," said Pentagon Spokesman Maj.-Gen. Pat Ryder said.

"The battery will be fully operational capable in the near future, but for operations security reasons, we will not discuss timelines."

14:20 - Hezbollah fires 20 rockets at Haifa suburbs, most intercepted

Hezbollah launched a volley of some 20 rockets at several suburbs of Haifa. Alarms were triggered in several of the "Krayot" communities, including Kiryat Bialik, Kiryat Yam and Kiryat Haim, as well as nearby communities like Kfar Masaryk and Ein Hamifratz.

The IDF said that most of the rockets were shot down. There were no immediate reports of casualties.

The Lebanese terror group Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the launch of three ballistic missiles toward the Tel Aviv area on Monday afternoon.

Using its usual formula when confirming responsibility for attacks on Israel, the terror group said it launched the missiles, "In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in support of their valiant and honorable resistance, and in defense of Lebanon and its people, and in response to the Israeli barbaric destruction of cities, villages and civilians."

11:21 - Terror shooting: 1 killed and four wounded in attack on Highway 4 near Yavne

One person was killed and four others wounded, including one in moderate condition, after a terrorist opened fire on Highway 4 near the town of Yavne.

The terrorist was killed, Israeli media reported. One of the wounded is a doctor who stopped to help and was hit by a car.

10:07 - IDF kills 2 terrorists and arrests 3 more in Jenin, overall arrests 20 terror suspects across Judea and Samaria

Overnight, the IDF killed two terrorists and arrested three others after a firefight in the city of Jenin, located in Samaria.

In other operations throughout the region, Israeli forces arrested 20 terror suspects, while finding weapons, ammunition and other equipment.

08:50 - Lebanese media report strikes near Baalbek

Lebanese news network Al-Mayadeen, affiliated with Hezbollah, reported a strike on the Syria-Lebanon border, near Baalbek in the Bekaa Valley.

According to Al-Mayadeen, the strike was carried out on the Lebanon side of the border, about 155 kilometers (86 miles) from the Israeli border.

Rocket warning sirens were activated in Haifa, the Krayot, Tirat Carmel, Yokneam, Pardes Hana, Caesarea, and surrounding areas.

The IDF said that two launches from Lebanon were identified and intercepted.

07:25 - Rocket alarm sirens sound in Zichron Yaakov and the Carmel coast

Rocket and missile warning sirens were activated in Zichron Yaakov and several communities along the Carmel coast, including Atlit, Ein Hod, Kerem Maharal, Giv'at Carmel, Daliyat al-Karmel, Neve Yam, Fureidis, the Youth Village of Yemin Orde, Nir Etzion, Meir Shfeya, Ofer, Nachsholim, Ein Hod, Ein Carmel, Ein Aila, the Carmel Forests and Tzofiya.

Sirens were also heard in Talmei Elazar.

Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut's Dahiya district last month.

Amid escalating tensions with Hezbollah in Lebanon, Australia warned its citizens against traveling to Israel and urged those already there to "leave the country while commercial flights are still available."

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong wrote on the social network 𝕏 that "the Australian government has serious concerns that the security situation in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories could rapidly deteriorate."

In a travel advisory, the Australian government stated that "the threat of military and terrorist attacks against Israel and Israeli interests across the region remains high." (Reuters)

The Al-Mayadeen network, associated with Hezbollah, reported that Israel Defense Forces (the IDF) launched a series of airstrikes across various locations in the Bekaa Valley, deep within Lebanon.

The report indicated that at least four of the strikes were directed at the city of Baalbek. (Ynet)
