Poll reveals most Israelis believe Jewish nation is in state of emergency
Some 58% of Israelis think the country is in a “state of emergency” because of the judicial reform crisis, according to a monthly poll published by the Israel Democracy Institute (IDI) think tank.
The view is especially prevalent among supporters of the opposition parties, while less than one-third of the supporters of parties in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition shared this view.
A small minority of the respondents stated that IDF reservists' threats to stop volunteering in protest of judicial reform should be dismissed, with 9% on the left, 13% voting at the center and 33% on the right affirming this view.
