Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in quarantine until Friday after coming into contact with a person who was later confirmed to have the coronavirus.
The Prime Minister Office said that Netanyahu tested negative for the virus on Sunday and Monday. Nevertheless, according to Israeli regulations, he must be quarantined from two weeks since he met the person in question.
"According to the guidelines, I will go into isolation until next Friday," Netanyahu wrote on Twitter. "I feel great. Today and yesterday I underwent two negative corona tests. In addition, Channel 12 reported that Netanyahu will become the first Israeli to get the Pfizer vaccine. The prime minister himself will kick off the vaccine drive on Saturday night after Shabbat is over.
