UN condemns Israel with more resolutions in 2022 than all other nations combined
Israel was condemned by the United Nations General Assembly more than all other nations combined during 2022 – including Russia – according to UN Watch, a pro-Israel group which monitors the activities of the U.N.
The U.N. General Assembly (UNGA) approved a whopping 15 anti-Israel resolutions in the past year, compared to a total of 13 resolutions criticizing other nations, supporting Israel’s claim that the U.N. maintains its bias against the Jewish state.
Russia did earn a total of 6 resolutions in condemnation for its invasion and attack on Ukraine.
North Korea, Afghanistan, Myanmar, Syria, Iran and the United States were each granted just one.
However, other nations known for their poor human rights records – Saudi Arabia, China, Lebanon, Turkey, Venezuela and Qatar – did not receive even one resolution criticizing them.
Since 2015, UNGA has passed a total of 68 resolutions against countries other than Israel, but has chosen to adopt 140 resolutions against the Jewish nation during that same time.
The resolutions cover various issues regarding Israel’s treatment of Palestinians, its relationships with other Gulf states and other alleged wrongdoings.
