US demands to expand 'humanitarian corridors' in light of food shortage in Gaza
IDF released drone footage showing Hamas members beating Gaza residents and looting food meant for them
The U.S. government is demanding an increase in the number of areas of the Gaza Strip to be defined as humanitarian corridors, in which a ceasefire will take place for a few hours every day, making it possible to increase the supply reaching the residents.
This report aired this morning (Monday) on KAN Reshet B radio program "This Morning."
The American request comes against the background of the images from the last days of residents storming the UNRWA aid trucks.
In the coming days, the goods will also be inspected at the Kerem Shalom crossing before entering the Gaza Strip, which is expected to significantly increase the number of trucks entering the Gaza Strip. The trucks themselves, however, are not expected to enter Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing.
IDF Arabic-language Spokesman Avichay Adraee released footage on Saturday, where Hamas members can be seen beating Gazan residents and looting food supplies intended for them in Shejaiya.
At the same time, it was reported in the news on Saturday that an Israeli source told Kan News that Yahya Sinwar fled the city of Gaza via a humanitarian convoy that left the city.
According to the source, the Hamas leader had fled Gaza City, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, for the city of Khan Younis in the south at the beginning of the war.
