Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast

WATCH: Nick Vujicic — immensely popular Christian speaker born without arms or legs — delivers powerful prayer at Israeli Knesset with Benjamin Netanyahu

Vujicic was a keynote speaker at the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast

One of the highlights on the sidelines of the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast was a powerful prayer delivered at the Israeli parliament in the presence of several Knesset members including former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Australian-American Christian evangelist and motivational speaker, Nick Vujicic, blessed Israel and the relationship between the Jewish state and the U.S.

“Father, we thank you that you will continue to fortify and strengthen the nation of Israel. Thank you for the capital of Jerusalem,” Vujicic said while sitting next to Netanyahu. “God, we thank you. We thank you for Israel. We thank you so much for your love for this country and its future. God, I pray that you would once again bless Benjamin Netanyahu and the mission that you’ve given him, the vision that you’ve given him, the legacy that you’ve given him, the stewardship you’ve given him. The incredible favor that you’ve given him.”

Later, in a Facebook post, Netanyahu said, “I had the honor of meeting, Nick Vujicic , a motivational speaker born with tetra-amelia syndrome. I heard about his inspiring story and thanked him for his courageous support for Israel. Thank you Nick for praying for Israel.”

Born without arms and legs, Vujicic is an evangelist and anti-bullying advocate who has traveled the world giving motivational speeches. He has faced tremendous challenges from being bullied at school and even survived a suicide attempt. In his talks, he shares how he overcame these challenges and discovered the key principles which enabled him to find his purpose in life and turn obstacles into opportunities.

In Israel for the first time, Vujicic was a keynote speaker of the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast which took place two weeks ago at the Waldorf Astoria. The two-day convention provides an opportunity for both Evangelical Christian leaders and influencers from abroad to meet with leading Jewish and Israeli figures.

Despite being stymied by the coronavirus pandemic for the past two years, the conference saw some 300 dignitaries and government officials from nations around the world, including Ghana’s Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta and former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman

The prayer movement brings together government leaders and influential Christian leaders from all walks of society for a gathering in Israel’s capital to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

In addition to the Christian delegates, Knesset members Tatiana Mazarsky and Gila Gamliel were also present during Vujicic's prayer.
