110 rockets in less than 24 hours: Hezbollah & Hamas attack Israel from Lebanon after IDF kills terrorists
Explosions damage home, factory and greenhouse, start fires in Golan Heights
The Lebanese terror group Hezbollah and Hamas’ Lebanese branch sharply escalated their attacks over the weekend, lobbing some 110 rockets at Israel between Friday and Saturday afternoon, Israel Defense Forces reported.
Unlike most attacks from Lebanon which are claimed by Hezbollah, on Saturday, Hamas’ Lebanon branch took responsibility for some of the launches, stating that they were a retaliation for Israel’s military activity in Gaza.
Hezbollah’s rocket barrages began after Israel carried out several targeted eliminations, killing four terrorists in Lebanon on Friday.
Shortly afterward, about 65 rockets were launched at Israeli targets, including in the Upper Galilee, the northern Golan Heights, and the Western Galilee. No casualties or significant damage were caused in the attacks, with most rockets falling in open areas.
The IDF said it struck a rocket launcher used in the attacks shortly after, before attacking weapons depots near Bleyda and Houla.
Israeli fighter jets also struck ammunition depots near Tir Harfa. “During the attacks, secondary explosions were detected in the area, indicating the presence of weapons in the buildings,” the IDF stated.
The following day, Israeli aerial defense systems shot down a Hezbollah drone over Lebanese territory.
