Actor Hugh Laurie to appear in popular Israeli series, “Tehran”
Renowned British actor Hugh Laurie will be joining the widely-acclaimed Israeli series "Tehran" for its third season, adding to the list of other high-profile actors who have previously appeared in the show, including Glenn Close. The 63-year-old actor will play the role of a nuclear inspector on Tehran and is presently filming in Athens.
Formerly the star of the hit TV series House, in the role of Dr. Gregory which he played for eight seasons – from 2004-2012 – this new role will be a huge departure from the one that distinguished him as an infectious disease specialist.
Laurie was nominated for an Emmy award for his appearances on Veep. He also had the distinction of being named in the 2011 Guinness World Records as the most-watched leading man on television.
In 2020, he played the lead role in a film, "The Personal History of David Copperfield."
