Security forces continue counter-terror raids in Judea and Samaria
Soldiers of the IDF, Shin Bet security and Israel Border Patrol arrested 23 wanted persons throughout Judea and Samaria last night, about ten of whom are active members of Hamas.
During operations in the Tulkarm refugee camp, four wanted suspects were arrested. The forces also confiscated military equipment discovered in the operation.
While in Tulkarm, a group of armed men shot and threw explosives at the forces, who responded with live fire. Israeli forces suffered no casualties.
An additional 12 suspects were arrested in counter-terror activities in the Binyamin and Etzion sectors.
Besides the arrests, there were confiscations, including a total of NIS 250,000 (about $67,000) in terrorist funds. More than 50 illegal vehicles, incendiary materials, ammunition and drugs were also confiscated during the operation.
Since the beginning of the war, approximately 2,100 wanted persons have been arrested throughout the Jordan Valley, as well as in Judea and Samaria, internationally known as the West Bank.
Approximately 1,100 of those arrested are known associates of the Hamas terror group.
