Houthi missile fired at Israel is intercepted after intensive US bombing campaign in Yemen

A missile launched toward Israel from Yemen was intercepted on Friday, with no injuries or damage reported. Air raid sirens were activated in central Israel and around the Jerusalem area.
In line with the IDF’s new protocol, a warning was issued several minutes before the missile approached and alarm sirens were triggered.
The launch came in the wake of a series of intensive overnight airstrikes carried out by the United States in Yemen.
Among the primary targets was the Ras Isa fuel port, which is under Houthi control. U.S. Central Command confirmed that the port, located near the Hodeidah harbor in northwestern Yemen, was destroyed.
According to the U.S. military, the objective of the strike was to "disrupt a key economic power source for the Houthis."
Houthi sources reported that at least 38 people were killed in the strike, including port workers and rescue personnel. An additional 102 people were reported injured.
This attack marks one of the deadliest American strikes in Yemen since the U.S. military began its operation against the Iran-backed Houthi rebels about a month ago.
