IDF to political echelon: Hamas has begun to restore its capabilities in areas where we have reduced our forces
The IDF informed the political echelon that Hamas began to secretly restore its civilian capabilities in northern and central Gaza, as reported on Friday evening news on KAN 11.
According to the information presented to the political echelon, Hamas began restoring its capabilities in both areas after the IDF reduced troop levels.
According to the information presented by the IDF, municipalities that previously operated under Hamas control recently began to provide services to the residents of Gaza remaining in these areas. These renewed services are in addition to the "emergency committees" established by Hamas for times of emergency, such as this war.
Two security officials told KAN 11 that the failure to make decisions regarding the issue of "the day after" in Gaza has contributed to a situation where Hamas is now regaining civilian control over parts of the Gaza Strip.
Israel's security cabinet met on Friday to discuss the issue but no decisions were made.
