Sign of life from three Israeli hostages in latest Hamas propaganda video
Video shows Noa Argamani, Yossi Sharabi and Itay Svirsky alive
The terror organization Hamas published video footage on Sunday showing three of the estimated 136 Israeli hostages who are still being held in the Gaza Strip.
In three undated clips that were spliced together, they identify themselves as Noa Argamani (26), Yossi Sharabi (53) and Itay Svirsky (38), before asking the Israeli government to return them home.
The video starts with the message: “Your government is lying,” and ends with another message reading, “Wait… tomorrow we will inform you of their fate.” Both messages were given in Arabic, Hebrew and English.
As in past cases of Hamas footage showing Israeli hostages, most Israeli media outlets did not publish the videos to avoid taking part in the terror group’s psychological warfare.
Hamas has released several such videos in the past, with some of the hostages later being released, while others were found killed.
In an earlier statement on Sunday, Hamas spokesperson Abu Obayda claimed that the fate of many of the hostages was unknown to the terror group and that many of them had been killed by Israeli airstrikes.
Noa Argamani has become one of the many symbols of the brutality perpetrated on Oct. 7 after her brutal kidnapping by Hamas terrorists was filmed and widely published by Israeli and international media.
Footage from that day shows her being abducted on a motorcycle with a look of terror on her face, begging for mercy as the terrorists captured her at the Nova musical festival at Kibbutz Re’im.
Noa's mother, Chinese-born Liora Argamani, has often appeared in public to call for her daughter’s release. Liora is in the advanced stages of cancer and must use a wheelchair, and pleaded for Noa’s release to be able to see her before she passes away.
“Noa has been held captive by Hamas for 100 days and I don’t understand how it can be, how she is still there,” she said at a rally commemorating 100 days of the hostages’ captivity on Sunday. “I hope I will be able to see her before my last day,” she added.
Israeli officials have sent pleas for help to the Chinese President and the Vatican for Noa's release but so far to no avail.
Yossi Sharabi was kidnapped from his home on Kibbutz Be’eri, together with his wife Nira and their daughters Yuval, Ofir, and Oren, however, the terrorists decided to release his wife and daughters, only abducting Yossi into Gaza, along with his brother who is also being held hostage.
Itai Svirsky lives in Tel Aviv but was captured while visiting his parents in Be’eri, who were both murdered during the brutal terror attack.
