19:52 - Iran's Ayatollah Khamenei says "Zionist regime made a mistake" in Hebrew-language tweet

The leader of the Iranian regime, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, tweeted out from his newly created Hebrew-language X account, taunting the Jewish State after the Israeli wave of airstrikes across Iran.

“The Zionist regime made a mistake. It erred in its calculations on Iran,” the tweet reads.

“We will cause it to understand what kind of strength, ability, initiative, and will the Iranian nation has.”

18:14 - Egypt proposes deal to release 4 Israeli hostages from Gaza in exchange for 2-day truce

"Egypt has proposed a two-day ceasefire in Gaza, during which four hostages will be released in exchange for Palestinian prisoners," said Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.

As part of the Egyptian proposal, the country proposed that within ten days negotiations would be conducted to bring about a permanent ceasefire.

13:43 - Lebanese sources report strikes in Sidon

According to reports on Lebanese social media, the Israeli Air Force carried out several airstrikes in Sidon within the last few minutes. Videos uploaded to social media showed an ambulance outside of a building that had been hit by a projectile.

Hezbollah-affiliated news network Al Mayadeen reported a strike in the Saida neighborhood.

13:40 - Security Cabinet will reportedly meet Sunday evening to discuss possible Iranian retaliation strike

According to reports in Hebrew media, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will convene the security cabinet later this evening to discuss Israel's recent strikes on Iran and preparations for a possible Iranian retaliation.

12:35 - Hezbollah rocket barrage triggers alerts across Galilee

Alarms sounded in a number of towns across the Galilee region in northern Israel early Sunday afternoon after a large volley of Hezbollah rockets was launched from Lebanon.

There were reports of three people wounded in the northern Arab town of Tamra, including one woman in serious condition. Magen David Adom said it took the three victims to Rambam Hospital in Haifa for treatment.

The IDF later said around 75 rockets were fired by Hezbollah from Lebanon in the attack, making it one of the heaviest barrages of the war.

11:45 - Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei opens 𝕏 account in Hebrew

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei opened a Hebrew account on 𝕏 shortly after the Israeli airstrikes against targets in his country. At present, the account has one post in Hebrew, which contains the opening statement of the Bismillah in Hebrew instead of Arabic, "In the name of Allah the merciful and compassionate."

Shortly after making an initial post, Israeli EMS company ZAKA responded to the post by quoting the opening line of the Qaddish prayer often said in memory of those who have died, "May His great name be exalted and sanctified..."

Some interpreted the post as a hint about Khamenei's fate if he were to order the Iranian military to respond to the Israeli strike on Saturday morning.

10:56 - IDF releases names of 4 fighters killed in southern Lebanon

The IDF released the names of four reservists who were killed during combat in southern Lebanon. All four were part of the 8207th Battalion, 228th Brigade (Alon), and fell during combat with Hezbollah fighters. 

Captain Rabbi Avraham Yosef Goldberg (43) from Jerusalem, a Military Rabbi, Master Sergeant Gilad Elmaliach (30) from Jerusalem, Captain Amit Chayut (29) from Haifa, and Major Eliav Amram Abitbol (36) from Eitan, fell during fighting with Hezbollah in an incident during which five additional soldiers were injured.

10:15 - Truck hits bus stop in Glilot in possible terror attack, at least 40 reported injured

A commercial truck hit a bus stop in Glilot, located in the Ramat Hasharon area, shortly after 10 a.m. this morning. Initial reports indicate that at least 25 people were injured in the incident. Israel Police said that "the circumstances of the incident are being investigated."

According to Magen David Adom emergency services, about 40 wounded people are being treated at the scene, with at least 10 evacuated to hospitals for medical treatment, including 4 in serious condition, 2 in moderate condition and 4 in light condition.

N12 News reported that police are currently investigating the incident as a probable terror attack. Unconfirmed reports say the driver of the truck was "neutralized" during the incident.

09:31 - Mossad chief heads to Qatar for continued hostage negotiations

Mossad Director David Barnea will depart today for Doha, Qatar, to attend a summit with CIA Director William Burns and Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed al-Thani. The summit is aimed at restarting stalled hostage negotiations but not finalizing the details of the deal.

According to reports, a quadrilateral summit will take place later with representatives from Egypt. Barnea traveled to Egypt last Thursday, meeting the new head of Egyptian intelligence.

09:04 - Hezbollah drone hits aviation manufacturing site, injuring two

A Hezbollah drone that struck the Bar Lev industrial zone near Acre in northern Israel hit a factory belonging to the BAZ aviation components firm, injuring two people. The factory makes metal components for civilian and military aerospace clients.

In a statement, the IDF confirmed that there was a drone launched from Lebanon and, "Following the sirens that sounded in the Western Galilee area, a UAV was identified crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory. The UAV fell in the Bar-Lev Industrial area. The incident is under review."

08:01 - IDF says 70 Hezbollah terrorists eliminated in past 24 hours

Overnight, the IAF conducted intelligence-based strikes on weapons manufacturing and maintenance facilities and a weapons storage facility belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in Dahiyeh.
The IDF spokesman said that during the past day, the IAF eliminated approximately 70 Hezbollah terrorists and struck over 120 Hezbollah terror targets.

06:31 - Israel marks National Day of Mourning for the victims of Oct 7 and those who have fallen in the war: flags lowered to half-mast

Today in Israel, 25 Tishrei 5785, a national day of mourning will be observed to mark the anniversary of the Oct. 7 massacre last year. The Hebrew date of the tragedy last year was 22 Tishrei 5784. At 6:29 a.m. this morning, the time when the "Black Shabbat" attacks began, flags were lowered to half-mast at the Memorial Hall for Fallen Soldiers and the Victims of Terror Memorial (both at Mount Herzl). The flags will be raised back to full mast after sunset.

The IDF says a UAV launched from the east was intercepted by the IAF in Syrian airspace.
The drone was intercepted before it crossed into Israeli territory.

04:22 - Iranian officials: "deep concern" in Tehran over destruction of air defense systems

Three senior Iranian officials told The New York Times that Israel's destruction of Iranian air defense systems has sparked "deep alarm" in Tehran, as critical energy and economic centers are now more vulnerable to potential future attacks should the cycle of escalation between Iran and Israel continue.

“This looks like a potential preamble to a much more effective strike against Iran’s infrastructure and even nuclear sites,” said Ali Vaez, Iran's director of the International Crisis Group. “Iranians can’t replace these systems promptly, which renders the country much more vulnerable in future tit for tats.”

Israeli sources told Sky News in Arabic that Israel has assessed that Iran will need a full year to rehabilitate its rocket capabilities following the attack.

03:38 - US: "Iran should not make the mistake of responding to Israeli strike"

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin warned Iran against retaliating for Israel's strikes on military sites within Iranian territory on Saturday morning. In an official readout of his phone call with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Austin stated, "Iran should not make the mistake of responding to Israel's strikes, which should mark the end of this exchange."

01:53 - Lebanese report following IDF warning: Israel struck in Dahiya, Beirut

The Lebanese channel Al-Jadeed reported that eight launches were carried out in the Dahiya district of Beirut in less than half an hour. Before the strikes, the IDF's Arabic spokesperson, Lt.-Col. Avichay Adraee, called on residents of several buildings in the district to evacuate.

Israeli Air Force fighter jets struck Hamas operatives operating within a command-and-control compound that was embedded inside a compound that previously served as the 'Salah al-Din' School in Gaza City. IDF Arabic Spokesperson Lt.-Col. Avichay Adraee issued an evacuation notice for several buildings in Beirut’s Dahiya district. The statement read: "You are located near Hezbollah facilities and interests, against which the IDF will operate in the near future. For your safety and the safety of your family members, you must evacuate these buildings and those adjacent to them immediately and stay away from them for a distance of no less than 500 meters."

The Lebanese channel Al-Jadeed reported that eight strikes were carried out in the Dahiya district of Beirut in less than half an hour.
