MIRACLE IN THE NORTH: Why didn’t Hezbollah invade on Oct 7, capture Galilee, slaughter thousands of Israelis?

NORTHERN ISRAEL — As horrific as the Hamas invasion of southern Israel was on Oct. 7, 2023, it could have been far, far worse.

For more than a decade, Hezbollah – the Iranian-funded and armed terror army in Lebanon that is dramatically larger than Hamas and had more than 150,000 missiles pointed at Israel – was planning to invade northern Israel, capture the Galilee region, and slaughter thousands of Israelis.

This wasn’t a secret.

Hezbollah leaders openly spoke about their invasion plans.

They openly and aggressively built up their invasion army in Shia Muslim villages in southern Lebanon, all along the border with Israel.

And they constantly imported missiles, rockets, machine guns, ammunition, and weapons and military equipment from Iran via Syria.

Why, then, didn’t Hezbollah’s leaders launch a simultaneous invasion of Israel on Oct. 7 as upwards of 6,000 Hamas terrorists stormed into the Gaza envelope and slaughtered 1,200?

On Monday, I asked this question of three IDF officers – including one senior commander – on a base located in northern Israel, not far from Lebanon.

Off the record, they were willing to speculate.

But none of them had a hard and fast answer based on definitive intelligence.

What they could say for certain were two things.

First, the military losses and psychological trauma that Israel suffered on Oct. 7 and in the weeks that followed would have been vastly worse if Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah – the wicked head of Hezbollah for three decades – had ordered a simultaneous attack.

And second, Hezbollah was far, far better prepared and supplied for such an invasion than the IDF, the Mossad, or the Shin Bet knew.

More on that in a moment.

THE GOD OF ISRAEL STOPPED HEZBOLLAH

Let me just say right here that the only plausible explanation that I can see is that there was a miracle in the North.

Yes, the God of Israel sovereignly allowed Hamas to invade on Oct. 7.

But the Lord sovereignly thwarted Hezbollah from invading that same day.

Far too few people know how close Israel came to apocalyptic destruction that day.

But the more we learn, the more we need to thank God that He stopped a demonic, genocidal invasion in the northern tier.

18,000 HEZBOLLAH WEAPONS CAPTURED

In this embedded video that we shot at the IDF base, I’ll share some of what I learned.

I’ll show you some of the 18,000 Hezbollah weapons the IDF captured from Shia villages all along the border.

I’ll even take you inside a mobile Hezbollah command center.

Soon, I’ll do a full episode of THE ROSENBERG REPORT on TBN describing this miracle, including interviews with two IDF officers.

For now, let me share just a few takeaways before I join my family for Christmas Eve.

“In nearly each and every house in the villages we entered in southern Lebanon, we found enormous amounts of weapons, drones, tunnels, ammo, communications equipment,” one senior officer told me, on the condition his face and name not be used.

“It turns out that Hezbollah had three times more weapons than we thought,” he said.

“To my shame, I was mistaken. I badly underestimated the enemy.”

That said, he added that the Hezbollah plan to capture northern Israel has been eliminated.

The IDF has “degraded Hezbollah’s chain of command” by killing all of their top leaders, including Nasrallah.

The IDF has destroyed 80% of Hezbollah’s missiles and drones.

Israel has also “seriously degraded the capabilities of the Radwan Forces,” the Hezbollah division dedicated to invading Israel.

“We have killed 3,601 of their operators,” the senior officer told me. We captured 18 of them. And Hezbollah’s reporters another 1,500 of their operators missing, so we likely have killed many if most of those. Time will tell.”
