Dr. Jack Graham tells Joel Rosenberg: ‘40 million people have downloaded the Pray.com app and are listening through the Bible’
Two years ago, Dr. Jack Graham was offered to be part of an initiative that would walk people through the Bible. Graham is a senior pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas and host of ‘PowerPoint’ on TBN. He is also a former president of the Southern Baptist Convention.
Despite his full schedule, Graham decided to join Pray.com, a Christian social media app that offers biblical content, daily prayers, sermons and podcasts.
“I thought, well, if we could get a couple of hundred thousand people to read through the Bible together, that would be awesome. So, we started, and it was a lot of work because we went all the way through the Bible,” Graham told ALL ISRAEL NEWS Editor-in-Chief Joel Rosenberg.
In this week’s episode of THE ROSENBERG REPORT on TBN, he revealed that 40 million people in the United States have downloaded the app and are listening to the Bible.
“We're seeing people come to faith in Jesus Christ as a result of listening to Pray.com,” Graham said.
He recognizes a spiritual hunger for God in people's hearts. Why now?
In the post-COVID world, some churches across the United States seem to be thriving more than others. Dr. Jack Graham told Rosenberg he believes the “churches that have a biblical worldview” are flourishing.
“That's the approach our church is taking in the culture,” he explained. “Let's address the cultural issues. Many of them bleed over into political issues as well. But let's do that through the lens of scripture rather than viewing the Bible through the lens of culture – which is the mistake.”
“We just interpret the Bible based on what's going on in the culture, but no less interpret the culture based on what the scripture says,” Graham explained.
What are the implications of this principle for the spiritual battle over the direction of the U.S.?
Graham previously served as a pastor in Palm Beach, FL, where he developed a personal acquaintance with former U.S. President Donald Trump and his family.
“He would come to our church every now and then,” he told Rosenberg. “He loves people to pray for him and to pray over him.”
What question did Graham pose to Trump during one of their meetings, and why does he believe the Trump White House was the most faith-friendly administration, its stance on Israel?
Why does he fear America, as we know it, will not last if Trump doesn’t win the next elections?
Don’t miss this week’s episode.
THE ROSENBERG REPORT airs Thursday nights at 9 p.m. EST and Saturday nights at 9:30 p.m. EST – on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), the most-watched Christian television network in the United States.
